Promotion and film release

Dilip Kumar promoted the film 'Ghar Dwar' in his film 'Gopi'

Mrs Pandey said that the film 'Ghar Dwar' and Dilip Kumar's film 'Gopi' was almost complete together and the release date was also nearby. In this way Dilip Kumar called Mr Pandey one day for his film 'Gopi' and in one scene set up a set of Raipur railway station and a special dialog was included in which Raipur wali Mausi was mentioned. Dilip Kumar did all this for help of promoting the film 'Ghar Dwar'. Mrs Pandey said that the film was released in Prabhat Talkies of Raipur in 1971, exact date she does not remember. After this, from 1984-85, the film was going on in the talkies of other cities Bilaspur, Durg, Bhilai, Raigarh and Korba, with a gap of every two years. The performance of the film was also brilliant in the fair through touring talkies.
Digitization of the film

Chhattisgarhi film 'Ghar Dwar' will be released in digital format

From 1971 to 1981, the film continued to be released in Chhattisgarh, Orissa, Maharashtra, UP and Bihar. Many songs of it were played on the radio as well. But after the death of producer Vijay Pandey in 1987, the whole process was over. Jaiprakash Pandey, son of Vivey Kumar Pandey, told that after the death of his father, the family had been completely broken and nobody paid attention that the only print placed in the house is getting worse. Apart from this, a print and negative film of the film was in the Quality Lab of Ranjit Studios in Dadar, Mumbai. After death of Babu Bhai Desai, owner of Lab, it was bought by Manohar Shetty from Bangalore. In this period, the old building of Lab was broken down. During this time, the Pandey family has no contact in Mumbai. In this way, negative, positive and other rush prints of the film were lost.

According to Jayaprakash Pandey, after making Chhattisgarh state, he tried his best to find out the prints together with his brother Jayasantosh Pandey (now departed). Finally,  through the producer-director Manu Naik, in the first Chhattisgarh film 'Kehi debe Sandesh' of Mumbai, the lab got information. But there was only disappointment upon reaching there. After this, he also searched the print at the National Film Museum in Pune but there was no record of it. In the meantime, Mr. Pandey's old friends met in Mumbai. The film's print got in a private museum of Marathi films, in Dadar, through a gentleman. According to Mr. Pandey, this print of 13 reels was found, but it was very poor. The other problem was that as soon as some people got to know it in Raipur, a businessman associated with the film and video business started pressuring him to "deal" in every situation. But some well wishers came in at that time and we strongly refuse.
Shri Pandey said that the revival of this print was guided by the technicians of Mumbai. In which one idea was to create negative from this positive and then to be positive in celluloid form again. But until the work started in this direction, the time of digital came. In this case, now under the new process, every frame of the entire celluloid positive print will be scanned. Its picture and sound quality will be improved. Subsequently, its original negative print will be created. After which the film will be released through a satellite in the digital form.

Mr. Pandey said that it is a coincidence that this film will be resurrected from the new owner's lab of the same film which was deleted from the quality lab. According to Mr. Pandey, these days, the work of digitizing white shyam films in Mumbai is going on very fast, so after six months of efforts, his film number came in the second week of December. The entire process will take 10 to 12 days. After this he is preparing to release the film in digital format on 23 December 2010, on the occasion of the birth anniversary of Shri. Vijay Kumar Pandey.
