Hamar Chhattisgarh : Tiger Point Waterfalls Mainpat Sarguja


Tiger Point waterfall is situated in Shimla of Chhattisgarh means Mainpat in Sarguja, Ambikapur. Manipat is said to be the best honeymoon destination. This waterfalls is originated from the Mahadev Muda River. This area is surrounded by dense forests. This beautiful waterfall is falls from height of 60 m. It can be seen from the road level itself. It is said that tigers of the forest were sighted in this area many years ago. So, it is now known as the Tiger Point. There are steps to take down to the bottom of the falls. But be careful because of there is pathway is not well-paved and also slippery. The Government has constructed railings so that visitors can experience the breathtaking views and scenery. A fire watch tower is constructed here for viewing the surroundings at this place. The placement and use of this tower for fire safety, forest safety and tourism purposes. A check dam nearby adds to its beauty.
Best Time to Visit Tiger Point


Best time to visit Tiger Point is to go in after rainy season from November to March month. In summer season the waterfall dried.
How to Reach Tiger Point

By Road: Manipat is easily accessible by roads and buses and taxis are available from Ambikapur (85km) and Raigarh (193km).

By Train: There are trains available from Bilaspur (240 km) to Ambikapur.

By Flight: Nearest airport is Raipur, (100km) from Manipat which is well connected to Mumbai, Delhi, Nagpur, Bhubaneshwar, Kolkata, Ranchi, Vishakhapatnam and Chennai.
