Mahant Ghasidas Memorial Museum is located in Raipur, the capital of Chhattisgarh state in India. This is an archaeological museum. It was built in 1875 by King Mahant Ghasidas. In the year 1953, Rani Jyoti and her son Digvijay reconstructed this building.
In this museum, there are many exhibits which showcase regional tribal's traditions as well as weapons samples, historical coins, statues and carvings etc. have been kept here.
After the reconstruction, this museum building was inaugurated in 1953 by the first President of India, Dr. Rajendra Prasad. There are currently 17279 total artistic materials in this museum, out of which 4324 belongings are non-existent and the remaining 12955 are antiquities.
