Garh kaleva Restaurant (or garh kalewa) has been started in the cultural department campus located in civil lines(in Guru Ghasidas Museum), Raipur Chhattisgarh. For serving the traditional recipes of the state to the guests who arrived in Raipur city. It was launched by the Chief Minister of the state Dr. Raman Singh on January 26, 2016.
In this restaurant you can taste delicious Chhattisgarhi dishes snacks like Khurmi, Cheela, Muthia, Angakar Roti, Bafoori, Chaussela. in Chhattisgarh culture along with the rituals. Everyday many Chhattisgarhi dishes are prepared for hundreds of guests.
The motive of this restaurant is to preserve the state's traditional food style. And to provide Chhattisgarhi surroundings like a village, attractive artworks of furniture have also been made on the premises and decorations have been done through the graffiti (wall paintings) on the wall.
Chila (made with rice flour, chila made with gram flour, muthia, dhuska roti, veg mix dhuska, angakar roti, pattar roti, baffouri plain and mix, chausela etc. are being served in refreshments in Garh kalewa. Apart from this, sweeties like Babara, Deharauri, Malpua, Dudhpharra, Ayirsa, thethari, Khurmi, Bidiya, Pidiya, Papchi, Puran Ladu, Cari Laadu, Bundi Ladu, Parra Ladoo, Khaja, Kochai are also being served.
