Hamar Chhattisgarh : Purkhauti Muktangan Museum New Raipur

Purkhauti Muktangan

Purkhauti Muktangan is an open museum, developed by Chhattisgarh department of Culture, under the Ministry of Tourism by Chhattisgarh Government. It exhibits the center of tourism attraction of natural resources, culture, industries tourist places etc. This museum is spread over 18 hectares, which also gives a glimpse of Vision 2020.

There are all models of Chhattisgarh state tourism sites such as Chitrakote of Bastar, Bhoram Dev (Kawardha), Mata Danteshwari Temple in Dantewada, Jagdalpur forest sites and folk dance models. Aboriginal population, artifacts, folk dances, food habits etc. have been depicted.

Timing to Visit Purkhauti Muktangan

According to circular issued by the Department of Culture, Raipur Picnic Spot Purakhya-Muktangan entrance fee structure are as follows: 

Every 12 year old child - 2 rupees for admission
Children of every 12 years - 5 rupees for admission
Institutional group 25 or more for 25 persons - 5 rupees for admission

Picnic Spot Booklet- Muktangan Open from 7.00am to 6.00pm.
How to Reach the Purakhauti Muktangan Museum

By Air: Nearest Airport is Swami Vivekananda Airport, Raipur. From Raipur airport to the Purakhatra Muktangan, it is 10 km by car.

By Road: From Raipur, reaching Ravi road from Malviya Road to 19 km south east, reaching Muktangan near Radhant School near Radients School in New Capital Area, Upargaon, to reach Highway 2.

By Train: Located on the Mumbai-Howrah route of Indian Railways, Raipur is well connected to large cities with daily trains. Munkhangan is situated 21 km away from Raipur station.
