Hamar Chhattisgarh : Mauli Mata Temple and Royal Dussehra in Fingeshwar
Like Bastar Dussehra, Fingeshwar's royal Dussehra has its own identity. This Dussehra festival is also start after worshiping Mauli Mata, by the royal king. Many people are come from far away to see this dussehra festival. The historic temple of Mauli Mata is situated in the Fingeswar block of the Gariabandh district Chhattisgarh. Fingshwar is about 60 kms from capital Raipur.
Mythological Recognition
According to mythological belief and by priest Sobha Ram Bhandari, Fingeshwar was ruled by King Dalganjan Singh Takur. Once while he was in a journey some invaders attacked sudden. At that time Mauli Mata came in the form of an old lady, Raja Thakur Duljanjan Singh who was surrounded by the attackers feels Mauli Mata's presence.
Then he stood up and won the battle. Then the king went to mother and went back to the palace and started coming back to the palace, the mother who is in the form of an old man and started following behind the king, then Raja Dalganjan Singh experienced the invisible power. On king's request, Mauli Mata came to the royal palace. She respectfully worship by the king

Raj Shahi Dussehra of Fingeshwar
