Smartphones Will Be Distributed Free In Chhattisgarh, Students and Women Will Receive


Free smart phones will be distributed from November 1 in the state. There is also the State Establishment Day on this day. In the first phase, 5 lakh phones will be distributed. The phones will be given to students and women studying in remote rural areas, urban poor and college. The DPR of the Sky Plan of the smart phone has been prepared. Tender will be issued at the end of June for mobile purchase. The Sky Scheme will be completed in three phases.

According to sources, the base price of mobile in tender is being fixed upto two and a half thousand rupees. The government's focus is on connectivity before launching the scheme. In the next few months many companies will expand the mobile service by installing towers.

-According to the survey conducted by the government in the state, only 22 percent in rural areas, 42 percent of urban people have mobile. In these, the number of smart phone holders is low.
-Currently, only 29 percent of the households have mobile phones, while the country's average is 72 percent. The goal of the government is to make it up to 98 percent.

Bastar may start first

According to sources, there is a sign of the inclusion of tribal-dominated Bastar in the first phase of mobile connectivity.
These include Narayanpur, Bijapur, Sukma, Kondagaon, Dantewada, Kanker and Jagdalpur.
