The main job duties of front office manager is to welcome the guests of the hotel, greet them, do room reservation for guests and he also looks after check-in and check out facilities with safety and security of the luggage of guests. He also looks after the counter and keeps the account of every single penny. 

Courses and eligibility


If you are really interested to join this field of customer care and satisfaction then you can pursue any formal training or certificate course associated to it after high school, intermediate (12th grade) under hotel management courses. Graduation, post graduation and even diploma courses are available in hotel management sector. Some courses related to front office manager are diploma in bakery or hotel reception and book keeping, diploma of one year in restaurant and counter services, diploma in hotel management, Bsc in hotel management, Msc in hospitality and administration, PG diploma in office and tourism management, accommodation operation etc are in trend. You can take admission in any one of these courses mentioned above but the minimum qualification is 12th pass from recognized education board or graduate from any recognized university for PG courses. English subject in higher secondary 12th grade is compulsory criteria for taking admission in the courses related to hotel management.
