Until the cross border terrorism is closed, there can be no series between the two countries : Sports Minister

Sports Minister Vijay Goyal clearly rejected the possibility of any bilateral cricket series between India and Pakistan. Said - Until the cross border terrorism is closed, there can be no series between the two countries. Terrorism and sports can not together. Goyal said this before meeting of BCCI and Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) in Dubai. Given the displeasure on the attitude of the BCCI, Goyal said that the board should have talked to the government before giving the proposal.

Statement on important time

- The timing of Goyal's statement can be very important. Indeed, Ajay is a meeting between BCCI and PCB in the Bilateral Series program in Dubai. In such a situation, due to the strict attitude of the government, it is difficult to decide any series.

PCB has sent legal notices

In fact, in the talks between the BCCI and the PCB two and a half years ago, it was agreed that the two teams will play five bilateral series between 2015 and 2023. Pakistan claims that the MoU was signed, whereas according to the BCCI only the consensus was made. No contract
- PCB sent legal notices to break the alleged MOU and demanded 60 million rupees (about 387 million rupees) as compensation.
It is believed that the team led by BCCI secretary Amitabh Chaudhary will try to convince PCB officials that unless the government is allowed, the bilateral series can not be done. So, Pakistan withdraw the case.
- However, if the PCB does not do so, then the decision on damages will be taken. It would be interesting to know that the financial condition of PCB is very crispy. If India is ready to play the series then they will have a great advantage.

Let us say that 9 years ago there was a terrorist attack on the Sri Lankan cricket team in Pakistan. Since then no big foreign team has played there in the series.
